The region is known for its beautiful mountainous terrain and rich cultural heritage, but it also faces a number of economic challenges. The region has a relatively low per capita income and a high poverty rate. Agriculture is the main source of livelihood for majority of people in the region, but lack of infrastructure and other facilities has limited its potential. Additionally, the region has been facing political and social unrest for many years, which has further impacted its economic development.
